Day 1: Toronto-Dominican Republic
Overview Take an international flight to the tropical paradise of the Dominican Republic and start your sunny journey.
Day 2: Puerto Plata Beach and Beach Market (Required)
The SOSUA Beach Market in Puerto Plata allows you to experience the rich Dominican culture and art and appreciate the works of local artists. The restaurants and bars on the beach are full of Caribbean style, and the market has local specialty products such as vanilla, handmade baskets and coconut shell souvenirs, bringing home a tropical memory.
Day 3: Conquer the Mayagua Falls (Required)
The Mayagua Falls are a wonder of nature, with limestone-carved pools and colorful stalactites. Here you can challenge 7, 12 or 27 waterfalls, slide and jump, and enjoy the cool lake water. Each waterfall has its own unique features, and the team provides life jackets, helmets and water shoes to ensure safety and excitement.
Day 4: Beach Cycling (Required)
Beach horseback riding is an experience full of romance and freedom. Imagine riding on a vast golden beach, accompanied by the blue sea and sea breeze, and the gentle sound of horse hooves stepping on the sand. Riding a horse, you can move forward leisurely or trot between the waves, and the sea water under your feet gently laps the horse's hooves, as if you are interacting closely with nature. Day 5: Puerto Plata Classic Tour (optional)
Puerto Plata was one of the first landing sites of the Spanish colonial fleet and the first New World colony established by Columbus. Today, it still retains 19th-century Victorian-style buildings. Take a cable car to the top of Isabel Torres Mountain to enjoy the magnificent view of Puerto Plata and its beaches, and see the huge statue of Christ overlooking the city at an altitude of 800 meters. Visitors can also visit the popular Umbrella Street, Central Park, San Felipe Church, Neptune Statue and Amber Museum Gift Shop, or go to the rum distillery to taste and buy the local aged rum.
Day 6: Santiago Charm Tour (optional)
Santiago is the second largest city in the Dominican Republic. It is known as the "Cigar Capital of the World" and is famous for its rich tobacco industry. It is a must-visit for cigar lovers. Tourists should not miss the Santiago Cathedral and the Restoration Monument, which symbolizes the city. The latter shows one of the most original architectural styles in the Caribbean. In addition, strolling along the colorful commercial streets of the colonial era, the Victorian buildings and cultural exhibits on both sides show the unique charm of the Dominican Republic and the Caribbean.
Day 7: Explore the paradise island of Cayo Arena (optional)
Guests who join the 8-day tour: Take a speedboat to Cayo Arena, a paradise island on the north coast, with white sand beaches, deep blue waters and colorful coral reefs. The calm bay is perfect for snorkeling, where you can see eels, stingrays, turtles and a variety of tropical fish. You can also explore Monte Cristi National Park to see swamps, dry forests, mangroves and many species of birds.
Guests who join the 7-day tour: The trip to the Dominican Republic is coming to an end. You will be taken to the airport by a special car, where you can shop in the duty-free shop and fly back home.
