In the morning, fly from your home city to Halifax (Airport Code: YHZ). (It is recommended that tour participants who wish to join the optional tour arrive before 11:00 AM.) After arrival, meet at the Information Center at the airport exit, where our representative will greet you and transfer you to downtown Halifax.

You may choose to enjoy free time in the city (without guide or vehicle), or join the optional “Halifax City Highlights Half-Day Tour.”

• Halifax-Dartmouth Ferry & Waterfront Boardwalk:
  Take a scenic ferry ride from Dartmouth across the harbor to Halifax. Along the way, enjoy views of the Halifax Harbour Bridge, the Royal Canadian Navy base, and the skyline of Halifax. After landing, stroll along the historic and picturesque Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk.

• Citadel Hill National Historic Site (Star-Shaped Fortress):
  Visit the iconic star-shaped Halifax Citadel, a symbol of the city and a witness to the historic battles between the British and the French in North America. Known as “the fortress that was never conquered,” it played a significant military role up until World War II.

• Halifax City Sightseeing Tour:
  Explore Halifax’s key attractions, including the Public Gardens, Victorian-era heritage buildings, Pier 21 Immigration Museum, and the Halifax Explosion Memorial Park. The tour lasts about 1 hour, offering a rich insight into the city's culture and history.

• Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse & Fishing Village:
  Visit the most famous lighthouse in Canada—Peggy’s Cove, a must-see destination in Nova Scotia. Known as one of the most charming lighthouses in the world and located in what is often called Canada’s most beautiful fishing village, it is a must-visit spot in the Maritimes.

Cape Breton Island – Highlands National Park – Skyline Trail – Baddeck

Early in the morning, we will depart for Cape Breton Island, ranked among the top ten most beautiful islands in the world. As we travel along the scenic Cabot Trail, you'll be immersed in breathtaking views where the sea meets the sky.

En route, we will stop briefly in Chéticamp, a charming town rich in Acadian culture, before continuing to the highlight of the day: the Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Known as a “walkway to the sky,” this world-renowned hiking trail offers stunning views and is considered one of the most beautiful walking paths in the world. The end of the trail is said to be a sacred place where Indigenous peoples once communicated with the spirits.

In the evening, we’ll head to Baddeck, one of the most livable small towns in North America. Located by the world’s largest inland sea—Bras d'Or Lake—Baddeck is also famous as the home of Alexander Graham Bell, inventor of the telephone. The town is rich in Scottish cultural traditions.

Note: In case of severe weather (heavy rain or strong winds) or closure of the Skyline Trail, the itinerary will be adjusted to visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum in Baddeck instead.

Sydney – Marine Atlantic Ferry to Newfoundland – Port aux Basques – Corner Brook

After breakfast, we will visit the world’s largest fiddle in Sydney. The city has a strong Celtic heritage, and the fiddle was built specifically to celebrate the Celtic culture and festival.

Around noon, we will board the Marine Atlantic ferry, crossing the Gulf of St. Lawrence to reach Newfoundland Island. The ferry offers amenities comparable to a luxury cruise ship.

In the afternoon, we will arrive at Port aux Basques, where you’ll enjoy the beautiful natural landscapes. The magnificent Long Range Mountains will accompany us along the way.

Overnight in Corner Brook or Deer Lake.

Corner Brook – Deer Lake – Gros Morne National Park – Western Brook Pond Fjord

After breakfast, we will drive to Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Renowned for its unique geological landscape, the park provides rare evidence of continental drift. We will take a boat tour of Western Brook Pond, an ancient glacial fjord. Towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and crystal-clear waters make this one of the most breathtaking natural wonders in the world—the water is so pure it doesn’t conduct electricity.

In the afternoon, we will visit The Tablelands, another geological marvel of the park. Due to tectonic activity millions of years ago, Earth's mantle was pushed to the surface. The ochre-colored barren terrain resembles the surface of Mars and is globally rare.

Overnight in Corner Brook or Deer Lake.

Deer Lake – Newfoundland Northern Coast Exploration – Gander

In the morning, we begin our journey along Newfoundland’s Northern Coast, a famous destination for whale watching and iceberg viewing. During summer, you can also try your hand at cod fishing and lobster catching. Every spring, thousands of icebergs drift southward from Greenland, and whales gather here to feed.

Along the way, we will visit the Whale Skeleton Museum, which houses a complete humpback whale skeleton.

In the evening, we head to Gander, a town once known as the "Crossroads of the World." We’ll visit the Gander International Airport Museum, then overnight in Gander.

Note: This day focuses on natural scenery. The sightseeing boat will depart from different ports or towns based on conditions. Iceberg viewing, whale watching, and cod fishing all take place in the same coastal region.

Terra Nova National Park – Bonavista Peninsula – Skerwink Trail – Elliston Puffin Viewing Site

In the morning, we’ll head to the UN ecological reserve on the Bonavista Peninsula, stopping first at Terra Nova National Park to enjoy scenic views.

The Bonavista Peninsula is known for its rugged coastline and ecological diversity. We will hike the Skerwink Trail, ranked among the Top 20 Trails in the World, to admire stunning prehistoric geological formations.

Next, we visit the Elliston Puffin Viewing Site, one of the few places on Earth where puffins can be observed up close on land. At the tip of the peninsula stands a statue of John Cabot, the Italian explorer who once landed here.

Overnight in Clarenville or St. John’s.

Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve – St. John’s – Signal Hill

We depart early for Cape St. Mary’s Ecological Reserve, one of the most famous bird-watching sites in the world. From April to August, over 20,000 seabirds including northern gannets, kittiwakes, and murres nest here. The viewing platform is less than 10 meters from Bird Rock, making for an unforgettable experience. The site is often called the “Seabird Capital of North America.”

In the afternoon, we head to St. John’s, the capital of Newfoundland and Labrador, to visit Signal Hill. Once a military fortress, Signal Hill played a vital role during World War II in defending against Nazi U-boats. It also offers panoramic views of St. John’s.

Cape Spear Lighthouse – Easternmost Point of Canada – Witless Bay – Iceberg Beer Brewery – St. John’s – Return Home

After breakfast, we visit Cape Spear Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Canada and the first place in North America to see the sunrise.

Next, we head to Witless Bay, a UN-protected reserve, and take a boat tour to observe puffins up close in their natural habitat.

After lunch, we visit the Iceberg Beer Brewery, where you’ll taste beer made from 20,000-year-old iceberg water. The beer is crisp and strong, and it’s only available on Newfoundland Island.

In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore St. John’s, the oldest city in North America, full of historic charm.

Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.

We recommend booking flights departing after 3:00 PM from St. John’s International Airport (YYT). Otherwise, you may miss the morning activities and must arrange your own transportation to the airport.

St. John's - Signal Hill - Iceberg Brewery - Spile Lighthouse - Easternmost Point of North America

Arrive in St. John's (recommended arrival before 16:00, airport code YYT). After meeting at the Tim Hortons at the airport exit, the group will be transferred to Signal Hill, an important military outpost that played a significant role during World War II. Today, it provides a fantastic view of the city. Next, visit the unique Iceberg Brewery to taste "Iceberg Beer" brewed with water from 20,000-year-old icebergs, known for its crisp taste and lasting finish. Later, head to Spile Lighthouse, the easternmost point of Canada, where North America greets the first light of day. After lunch, explore the historic charm of St. John's city. Overnight in St. John's.

St. John's City - Witless Bay - St. Mary's Bird Island Natural Reserve

In the morning, depart for the UNESCO-protected Witless Bay. Take a boat trip to visit Puffin Island to get a close look at the adorable puffins native to the North Atlantic. In the summer, various whales are also spotted in the area. The first of the four major activities in Newfoundland: icebergs, whales, puffins, and geological wonders, should not be missed. After lunch, visit St. Mary's Bird Island Natural Reserve, home to 20,000 Northern Eiders, 20,000 Three-toed Gulls, 20,000 Cliff-nesting Seabirds, and many Thick-billed Murres, from April to August. The closest viewing platform is less than 10 meters from the cliff, making it a premier birdwatching destination. Overnight in St. John's or Clarenville.

Bonavista Peninsula - Skerwink Trail - Elliston Puffin Reserve - Terra Nova National Park - Gander

In the morning, head to the UNESCO-protected Bonavista Peninsula, known for its rugged coastline and rich ecological diversity. Take the famous Skerwink Trail, ranked among the top 20 global hikes, to witness breathtaking prehistoric geological formations. At the end of the peninsula, visit the Elliston Puffin Reserve, the only place on land where you can see puffins. This area is also where the famous Italian explorer John Cabot landed and discovered Newfoundland. In the afternoon, stop by Terra Nova National Park for a scenic viewpoint, then head to Gander to visit the "World Crossroad" Gander Airport Museum. Overnight in Gander.

Northern Newfoundland Coastal Exploration - Deer Lake

In the morning, begin your exploration of Northern Newfoundland, a prime location for whale watching and iceberg viewing. In summer, enjoy activities such as cod fishing and lobster catching. Every spring, thousands of icebergs drift south from Greenland, and whales also frequent these waters. Visit the Newfoundland Whale Skeleton Museum, which displays a complete humpback whale skeleton. After the tour, proceed to Western Newfoundland, and overnight in Deer Lake or Corner Brook. (Note: This day focuses on natural landscapes. Boat tours will depart from different cities or piers, and whale watching, iceberg viewing, and cod fishing all occur in the same waters.)

Gros Morne National Park - Western Brook Pond - The Tablelands

After breakfast, drive to Gros Morne National Park, a UNESCO-listed World Heritage site. Known for its unique geological features, the park is a rare example of continental drift. Take a boat trip on Western Brook Pond, a stunning glacial fjord, where towering cliffs and waterfalls provide a spectacular view. In the afternoon, continue to explore The Tablelands, a geological wonder where the Earth's mantle is exposed due to ancient tectonic movements. The reddish-brown terrain is barren, resembling the surface of Mars. Overnight in Deer Lake or Corner Brook.

In the morning, head to Port aux Basques and take the luxurious Atlantic Royal Navy ferry across the Saint Lawrence Strait, enjoying the facilities and scenery onboard. Upon arriving in North Sydney, begin the Cape Breton Island tour. Visit Baddeck, home of Alexander Graham Bell, the inventor of the telephone. Overnight in Sydney or Baddeck.

Cape Breton Highlands National Park - Skyline Trail - Cabot Trail

In the morning, travel to Cape Breton Island, one of the top 10 most beautiful islands in the world. Along the scenic Cabot Trail, enjoy spectacular views where the sky meets the sea. Take a break in the Acadian village of Chéticamp before continuing to the iconic Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park. This walk is known as one of the most beautiful hiking paths in the world. The trail’s endpoint is considered a sacred site for local indigenous people. In the evening, visit Baddeck, one of North America’s most livable small towns, known for its inland sea, Bras d'Or Lake, and its Scottish cultural heritage. Overnight in Halifax or Truro.

Halifax City Tour - Return to Original Destination

In the morning, you can choose to enjoy free time (without a guide), or participate in a half-day optional tour of Halifax (additional fee). In the afternoon, a guide will transfer you to the airport (recommended flight departure after 18:00 from YHZ). Return to your original destination.
